GP CLINIC located in Kaunas Old Town, in a restored mid-19th-century building complex.
This is an atypical manor house ensemble, referred to by architectural historians as the "Dvarelis Complex." It is a particularly significant relic of a city that once held Magdeburg Rights. This ensemble of buildings – a synagogue, a residential house, a small school, and outbuildings – formerly belonged to the Jewish community. The ensemble of brick structures on a plot of irregular trapezoidal shape, which has received the attention of architects and restorers, was formed around the mid-19th century. Archaeological findings indicate that people lived on this plot as early as the 14th-15th centuries. From the mid-19th century, the plot came under Jewish ownership. During the Soviet era, this architectural ensemble was neglected and completely dilapidated, with some of the buildings converted into warehouses.

In restoring the building ensemble, the aim was to recreate unique structures of that period and leave something valuable for Kaunas. The building is a protected monument, so in consideration of heritage requirements, efforts were made to preserve as much authenticity as possible. The complex of estate buildings has been restored and reconstructed according to the project by architects Rymantė Gudienė, Liuda Perevičienė, and Vilija Skėrienė.

In a unique 18th-century urban architectural ensemble, whose boundaries and configuration have remained unchanged since 1798, several medical service providers have been established following restoration and construction work. A distinctive highlight of the Dvarelis complex, marked by its original structural solution, is the synagogue built in 1850. It is the dominant building of the entire complex. The synagogue has remained largely unchanged since that time, with only its interior having completely deteriorated. The authentically restored synagogue now houses conference halls. The main hall of the synagogue boasts excellent acoustics.

In one of the two brick courtyard buildings, which houses Dr. G. Papečkis's surgery clinic - GP KLINIKA, a day surgery hospital, patient wards, and a modern complex section adapted for operating rooms have been installed.

The original cellars from that era have been preserved. Authenticity has been perfectly combined with modern architectural elements. To prevent visitors from having to walk across an open courtyard from one building to another, the buildings are connected by a glass roof. Today, this urban ensemble is the highlight of the entire old town.
