Hyaluronic acid injections

Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is very familiar and not alien to the human body. It is found mainly in our soft tissues, as well as in cartilage, joint and orbital fluids. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for moisturizing the skin. It retains water and helps distribute nutrients in the skin, as well as protecting it from mechanical or chemical damage.

Consequences of hyaluronic acid depletion

It is not for nothing that hyaluronic acid is called the fountain of youth in our body. As the body ages, the amount of this substance gradually decreases, and with it the level of moisture in the skin decreases. This becomes a great excuse for the first wrinkles to appear, and we immediately notice a deterioration in the texture and elasticity of the skin itself.

Why does the amount of hyaluronic acid in the body decrease?

Hyaluronic acid in the body decreases due to factors such as:

• The aging process;
• The aging process;
• Stress, fatigue;
• Hormonal changes in the body;
• Sun exposure;
• Air pollution.

With the use of modern means, the amount of hyaluronic acid in the face can be easily replenished. Hyaluronic acid injections have been practiced for many years for this purpose.

What problems do hyaluronic injections solve?

It is common to think that hyaluronic acid injections are used only to smooth wrinkles, but this is only one of the possible uses. Hyaluronic acid fillers can perform various functions, depending on the patient's complaints. In some cases, these tissue fillers help to avoid minor plastic surgery when the patient does not want it, but changes are still desired. Functions performed by hyaluronic acid injections:

• Wrinkle filling (around the eyes, in the lip area, nasolabial folds);
• Giving volume to the cheeks;
• Chin augmentation;
• Lip contour modeling, volume increase;
• Facial contouring;
• Minor nose shape/tip corrections.

Procedure and results

Hyaluronic acid injections are a relatively short and simple procedure, but they must be performed by an experienced specialist with the necessary qualifications. The procedure takes about 30 minutes. During it, hyaluronic acid is injected into the skin with a thin needle. At that time, there is very little pain, so the patient can easily tolerate it.

The results are visible immediately, so you will see more beautiful facial contours, softer features, and reduced wrinkles.

The skin may become red and slightly swollen in the areas where the injections were made. These are temporary effects that disappear after 2-3 days, and until then can be masked with cosmetics.

The results of hyaluronic acid injections can be seen for up to 1.5 years. After that, the preparation is completely absorbed into the tissues and the injections need to be repeated.

The price of a hyaluronic injection depends on the area being corrected and the purpose of the correction. Often, several different procedures are performed at the same time. The exact price of a hyaluronic injection will only be told to you by your doctor after discussing your problem during a consultation and proposing solutions.
