Scar removal

We all have scars, left over from childhood pranks or careless behavior. However, after more serious traumas, injuries or major surgeries, very pronounced and large scars usually remain at the incision sites. If the scars can be easily hidden under clothing and are not very large, then the person rarely experiences major psychological problems because of this. However, if the scar is particularly large, regardless of its location, the person may be shy about undressing at the beach, sauna, or sports club. This can even affect intimate relationships. Discomfort is especially common if the scar is on the face, neck, or hands, because these areas are always visible. Women suffer the most from this, for whom it causes self-confidence, spoils the overall aesthetics of the face, and interferes with everyday life and relationships. Scars usually do not bother men very much, especially since the saying "a scar adorns a man" is still alive. However, in cases where a man with a clearly visible scar decides to pursue a higher-level job, it becomes an obstacle and a sign of poor image. As a result, scar removal is a sensitive topic for both men and women, regardless of age.

Scar removal can be performed using various methods. The use of each of them depends on the specific situation. The doctor, having seen the patient's scar, will advise on the best way to correct it, whether surgically or with laser procedures. If the scars are quite "fresh", then the best way to treat scars is to apply special ointments to them, which fade the scars and make them less visible.

First of all, it should be emphasized that the scar is irreversible, it remains for life. The surgeon's goal is to make the scar less visible. For this, a special atraumatic surgical technique is usually used, changing the shape of the scar. One example of making the scar less noticeable is the so-called "curve line" plastic. This makes the scar less visible, and the tissues heal more beautifully. There are other special methods that I select in each case individually, taking into account what will best help solve this problem.
