Breast lift

Breast lift surgery is performed on women whose breasts have changed over time: lost firmness, youthfulness, have sagged, and drooped downwards. This commonly occurs due to pregnancy, breastfeeding, aging processes, weight fluctuations, as well as congenital factors. The surgery helps women feel attractive again, regain their self-confidence, and no longer be afraid to look in the mirror. The breasts become firmer and higher.

Breast lift is often performed with other procedures such as breast augmentation or breast reduction.

Breast lift surgery

Breast lift surgery can be performed using different methods, which are chosen based on the specific situation of each woman. An incision can be made around the nipple, from the nipple to the crease under the breast, or along the breast crease. One of these incisions may be used, or all three. During the procedure, the breast is modified by lifting it, excess skin is removed, and the remaining skin is stretched and stitched. After this surgery, some scars will be visible, while others are hidden by the breast crease. Over time, the scars fade.

After surgery

After a breast lift surgery, bandages are applied and a special bra is given to properly support the breasts during the healing process. For a while, you may experience aching, swelling, puffiness, and pain, which can be managed with medication. You can return to work after just 1-2 weeks, and you can resume sports activities after 1-2 months. The results of the surgery are visible immediately and are long-lasting.

The goal of a breast lift surgery is to lift sagging breast tissue and the areola so that it „faces“ slightly upwards. During a lift procedure, the volume of the breast is typically not reduced in order to restore an aesthetically pleasing breast shape. Depending on the degree of sagging (usually the areola is 19-20 cm from the top of the sternum), scars may only be left around the areola, and if the sagging is more significant, a scar running vertically downwards or an anchor-shaped scar will remain. This is a disadvantage of this procedure, but the scars become significantly less noticeable over time, and the new breast shape is more aesthetically beautiful, sexier, and more attractive.
