Career Start and Development

In 1981, G. Papečkys graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine at Kaunas Medical University. For 13 years, the doctor worked at one of the largest medical institutions in Lithuania – Kaunas Academic Clinics (Clinic of Surgery). While working at Kaunas Academic Clinics, he also consulted and performed surgeries at Kaunas„ first private clinic, which was then called ”Kaunas Medical Center.".

In 1988, plastic and reconstructive surgeon Gintaras Papečkys began his private surgical practice. G. Papečkys is one of the first doctors to begin developing aesthetic surgery and aesthetic medicine in Lithuania after 1991.

In 2000, Dr. G. Papečkys founded the first aesthetic surgery clinic to independently operate (after the restoration of independence in 1991) and named it „GP clinic.” The surgeon is an advocate of minimally invasive facial aesthetic surgery and has adhered to this principle throughout his career. Emerging new aesthetic medicine trends in recent years have only confirmed that this approach to plastic surgery and facial aesthetics was the right choice.

Innovation and continuous improvement

Gintaras Papečkys has performed over 6,000 aesthetic surgeries in his career.

The doctor is a pioneer of many aesthetic surgeries and procedures in Lithuania. It is precisely his constant desire for self-improvement, pursuit of innovation, and implementation of new methods that have brought such services to Lithuania:

• Fat grafting procedure (Dr. G. Papečkys first performed it in Lithuania in 1996)
• Male Genital Surgeries (initiated in 1997)
• Botulinum toxin injections (started in 1999).

Dr. Gintaras Papečkys was one of the first to use „heavy” hyaluronic acid filler (2002) for facial contouring.

The surgeon was also the first in Lithuania to use new generation fillers:

• For face correction – „Radiesse” fillers (started in 2009)
• For breast and buttock augmentation – „Macrolane” (launched in 2010).

Plastic and reconstructive surgeon Gintaras Papečkys is a proponent of minimally invasive surgery. Developing this specialization in aesthetic facial surgery, the doctor began using thread lifts, „Silhouette lift,” in 2010. These surgical threads help lift sagging facial tissues, avoiding major surgeries and postponing them to a later time.

In 2011, doctors began to use injections of platelet-rich plasma (so-called PRP procedures). Currently, this procedure is becoming extremely popular and widespread in Lithuania, as it does not involve the use of any synthetic fillers – the procedure is based on the patient's own blood.

In 2011, surgeon G. Papečkys was the first in Lithuania to perform one of the newest and most modern aesthetic medicine procedures: stem cell transplantation to the face. This technology of the future is gradually winning over patients and offers immense possibilities for preserving youth.

Surgeon Gintaras Papečkys is a full member of the Lithuanian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a member of the International Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Surgeon Gintaras Papečkys trained in Austria, Belgium, Greece, France, Russia, the United States, and Italy.

G. Papečkis Clinic is located in Kaunas Old Town; however, the doctor currently works not only at the clinic he founded but is also regularly invited to perform surgeries at the private clinic „Christinas Clinic” in Tallinn and the „Vitkus Clinic“ in Vilnius. He also consults and performs aesthetic medicine procedures in Klaipėda and Palanga.

Dr. Gintaras Papečkys has performed many surgeries and procedures on popular entertainment figures, businessmen, and artists in Lithuania. A plastic surgeon's consultation is also very important for specialists in other beauty fields – cosmetologists and dermatologists – who want to better understand which procedures help in which cases and what to best advise their clients. The doctor is also invited every year to participate in the Estonian TV project „Extreme Makeover,” where he enhances selected participants and discusses the possibilities offered by aesthetic surgery.

Leisure

When the surgeon is not consulting with patients or operating, he is actively involved in sports. Gintaras Papečkys is a multiple winner and medalist of Lithuanian tennis tournaments, a medalist of the very popular summer car races „Omnitel 1000 km” held in Palanga, and also a member of the World Medical Tennis Association. G. Papečkys is an active public figure, one of the founders of the Lithuanian Porsche club „PORKER”, its first president, and a member of the Kaunas Rotary Club „Romuva”. The doctor's greatest hobbies are tennis, car racing, and downhill skiing.Save
