Lip lift – this is a surgical aesthetic procedure during which the distance
between the base of the nose and the upper lip is surgically shortened, thus lifting (turning up) the upper lip and
giving it a more defined shape. As a result, more of the red part of the upper lip is visible,
the lip looks fuller, and the arch of the upper lip becomes more expressive.

After surgery

The stitches are removed after a week. In the first months, as the scar forms, there may be a feeling of tightness
at the top of the upper lip; special massages are recommended to reduce the tightness. Over time, the scar
loosens, stretches, and the upper lip slightly descends.

The lip lift is one of my favorite facial surgeries, which I often recommend
to patients. As a result, the shortened lip is one of the key elements of a beautiful, balanced face.
It adds elegance and shape to the face. Unlike using hyaluronic injections, there is no risk during this
surgery that the lip will become overly enlarged, protrude, and be called a „duck lip.“.
I recommend injecting a small amount of hyaluronic acid into the lip edge after the lip lift to further
enhance the results. I want to emphasize that with age, the lip lengthens, so I recommend this surgery for both
younger and older patients.
